Uses retain variable

Postby Loic » 11.03.2010, 15:44

Hello,

My Configuration : SC23.

I should have to use retain variable, but I don't know how to declare it.
Should I create a new target with memory allocated?
Ido, but when I want to transfert a little program, Ihave a error popup :
My prog is : test:=test+1; where test is my global retain variable : BYTE

Translation error popup : buffered variables number is too high

Someone could help me?

The SC23 is in what kind of hardware (DB54, own development, etc)

You use CoDeSys?

it's for an own development.
And I use CoDeSys too

Your hardware should support retain variables (by using power fail or an external non volatile memory).
If it does, your problem is more software dependent and better should be solved in the category CoDeSys:
