Dateien aus Image auslesen

Questions and discussions about the hardware of the IPC@CHIP® products SC123, SC143, SC23 and SC24.
Hallo,

ist es möglich aus einem Image eines SC143 einzelne Dateien auszulesen?
(HEX und BIN Image sind vorhanden)

Gruß Verona

For what purpose would you use the extracted HEX or BIN image?

Using a C program would be one way that this extraction is possible. (That is how I would do it.) There are certainly similar tools already built for 16 bit x86 EXE program extraction, but I don't know where these tools can be found. In the past, I just write my own EXE extractor based on the "well known" DOS EXE header format when ever I need such data.

But keep in mind, that the DOS operating systems performs a dynamic relocation of the segment addresses contained in a program upon loading the program into the available memory. So a statically extracted image will differ from the run-time image where ever address segments appear in the code.
